This collection of buffalo and bovines were found in and around The Villages, Florida. The buffalo used to permanently stroll the green spaces around The Villages for years until a few residences thought their grandchildren needed to have more of a personal experience with the wild beasts!! Sadly, all the buffalo were removed to greener pastures- hopefully not on anyone's dinner plate.... It was nice while it lasted seeing them stroll openly in the fields.
The bovines photographed reside on a small farm just outside The Villages. The interest in stopping to capture these images were the "pig cows"- marked like hogs, the black and white cows were a different site for me! While shooting the photos of the "pig cows" a particularly friendly bovine strolled up to the fence to bid her hello! This was a quick, sweet, captured moment in time....
